Overview

In this video, we’ll learn how to find open RFQs by Manufacturer ZIP Code using Loocey’s Advanced Related Data Filters. We’ll show how to search RFQs based on manufacturer ZIP codes, verify matching approved sources, view manufacturer details, and save the search as a reusable view for quick access.

Step by step

The walkthrough covered in the video, written out so you can follow along inside Loocey.

  1. To get started, go to the Bidding Board, and open the RFQ in detail view.
  2. This is ideal for situations when there are multiple RFQs for the same NSN or when the same NSN comes up for a bid again, after you have already done the work of putting the bid package together.
  3. The Related RFQs tab will quickly show you the relevant information, but you can also open the related RFQ in another tab to see which part of the information you may want to use for the new RFQ.
  4. Simply right click on the name and open in a new tab, you’ll have the full details, then simply copy/paste the relevant information, notes and calculations.
  5. You can also check if pricing quotes you had received for the older RFQs are still valid, if yes, you can simply download and re-attach to the new RFQ, just so you have everything completed for the new RFQ as well.
  6. This will avoid duplication of work and save a lot of time.
  7. When done copying the relevant details, we should have the new RFQ bidding calculations at the top match with the old one.
  8. And finally, change the status to Ready To Bid and move on to the next one.
