Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 17, 2024

Last Updated: August 25, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Loocey, Inc. ("Loocey", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you access or use our website (www.loocey.com), our application (app.loocey.com), and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It also serves as our notice at collection for California residents. Please also review our Cookie Policy and Your Privacy Choices page.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, company name, account username
  • Account credentials and preferences
  • Commercial information — subscriptions purchased, billing history (payment card numbers are processed by our payment processors and are not stored by us)
  • Internet or other electronic network activity — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, and interactions with the Services, collected via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies
  • Geolocation data — approximate location derived from IP address
  • Business data you store in the Services — data you upload or create in your workspaces
  • Communications — messages you send us via forms, email, or support channels; newsletter subscription details
  • Inferences — preferences derived from your use of the Services for the purposes described below

Sources: we collect information directly from you, automatically from your device when you use the Services, and from service providers and advertising/analytics partners.

Retention: we retain each category for as long as needed to provide the Services and maintain your account, and thereafter as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Account data is generally deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after account closure; website analytics and advertising data is retained per the retention settings of the relevant tool (typically 2–26 months). We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA, and we do not use or disclose personal information for purposes of inferring characteristics about you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following business purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining our Services
  • Processing transactions and sending related information
  • Improving and personalizing user experience
  • Communicating with you about updates, promotions, and events
  • Monitoring and analyzing usage and trends
  • Advertising and marketing, including measuring ad campaigns (see Sections 5–6)
  • Detecting, preventing, and addressing technical issues, security incidents, or fraudulent activities
  • Complying with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers that assist in our operations (hosting, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, analytics)
  • Advertising networks and analytics providers — see Section 5
  • Affiliates and subsidiaries
  • Law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by law or to protect our rights
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • Other parties with your consent or at your direction

We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies and pixels (Section 5) may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (identifiers and internet activity data) with advertising partners under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws. You can opt out at any time — see Section 8 and our Your Privacy Choices page.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

We and third parties use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our Services. These third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Services. Specifically, we use:

  • Google Analytics (analytics) and Google Ads (advertising and conversion measurement), provided by Google LLC
  • Meta Pixel (advertising, conversion measurement, and audience building), provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag (advertising, conversion measurement, and audience building), provided by LinkedIn Corporation
  • Google reCAPTCHA (security/anti-spam on our forms), provided by Google LLC — its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Non-essential cookies and trackers load only after you make a choice in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in our website footer. For more detail, including opt-out links for each provider, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Advertising and Marketing

We may use your information to deliver personalized advertisements and marketing communications, including displaying targeted ads based on your interests, measuring the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and collaborating with advertising partners to reach relevant audiences. You can opt out of targeted advertising through our cookie banner, the Your Privacy Choices page, the Global Privacy Control signal, or the industry opt-out tools listed in our Cookie Policy.

7. Newsletters and Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletters or other communications, we may use your information to send you updates, promotional materials, and other content. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the emails or by contacting us directly; we honor unsubscribe requests within ten (10) business days as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. We may still send you non-promotional, transactional messages about your account.

8. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights (Including California)

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Montana, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and others), you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know / Access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom it was disclosed
  • Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing and Targeted Advertising — direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring this right
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

How to exercise your rights. You may submit a request by either of these two methods: (1) email us at privacy@loocey.com, or (2) use our contact form. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your account or other reasonable verification methods, and respond within 45 days (extendable by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice). You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will require proof of the agent's authorization and may require you to verify your identity directly.

Opt out of sale/sharing. Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer, reject advertising cookies in our cookie banner, or enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal — we honor GPC as a valid opt-out request for the browser you use it on. See Your Privacy Choices.

Minors. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

California "Shine the Light." California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals; however, we do honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described above.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy (see the retention criteria in Section 2), comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

10. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law, including California Civil Code Section 1798.82.

11. International Data Transfers

Our Services are operated from and directed to users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete the information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at the address below.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date, and — for material changes — by additional notice such as email or an in-Service notice. Your continued use of our Services after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of it.
