Overview

In this video, we'll learn how to find awarded contracts by cage code. This will be helpful to lookup your own awards or even a competitor or incumbent awards.

Step by step

The walkthrough covered in the video, written out so you can follow along inside Loocey.

  1. How To Find Open RFQs by Part Numbers
  2. HOW TO SEARCH BY PART NUMBER
  3. Go to RFQs, this where we see all of our open RFQs.
  4. In order to understand how we need to use our advanced search filters to find RFQs by part numbers, we first need to locate the data.
  5. When you open the NSN dialog, we’ll see we have the Approved Parts list, which in turn has the part numbers along with approved source details.
  6. In the RFQs tab we can see the RFQs that are open.
  7. And the NSN history tab shows the historical data and pricing information about the NSN.
  8. Let’s open a few NSN dialogs and copy the part numbers into a notepad so we can use them for our example.
  9. Now that we have our list of example parts, let’s open the Filters dialog and go to Related Data Filters tab
  10. This is because, part numbers are not shown in the main RFQs table, instead they’re showing on the NSN dialog, which in turn has the list of Approved Parts.
  11. Click on Add Filter and from related data list drop down, select
  12. NSN > NSN Parts > DLA Approved Parts
  13. As mentioned earlier, we need to choose relationship that best matches with our query.
  14. Then choose part number “in” and let’s paste our list of part numbers that we have notted down and hit apply.
  15. Now we can see the open RQFs that have these part numbers.
  16. And if we open any of these dialogues, we should see the part numbers. At least
  17. one of them match with our part numbers list.
  18. Now, Let’s save our view.
  19. Click on save then choose save as new. Let’s name it My Parts and hit save.
  20. Going forward, the new View will be showing at the top and you can simply click on filters, go to Related Data Filters tab and change your part numbers as needed.
