Overview

Most DLA solicitations already have specified manufacturers, which are the approved sources for a given part. However, in some cases, DLA posts solicitation for manufacturing a certain part which do not have approved sources or manufacturers already assigned.

This is great for small manufacturers as it means, you can bid on these RFQs without being the approved source.

In this quick tutorial, we’ll walk you through how to filter and find RFQs that do not already have specified approved sources or manufacturers, hence, are open for other manufacturers to bid and manufacture these parts.
