How to Search/Filter and Find RFQs Using FSC Code List in Loocey

In this video, we’ll learn how to create search filters in Loocey and filter the RFQ list using multiple FSC Codes.

Step by step

1. How To Filter RFQs by Solicitation Number, NSN Prefix OR Exclude by NSN Prefix
2. These filters are extremely useful when you need to narrow down the RFQs you want to work with — especially when you're focusing on certain federal supply classes or on specific solicitation groups.
3. Let’s start on the DLA RFQs page where you’ll see the full list of open RFQs.
4. Our first option is to simply use the main search bar.
5. If you already know the full Solicitation Number, you can simply type it into the search bar.
6. The system will immediately narrow down the list and show you the matching RFQ.
7. You can also enter a partial Solicitation Number, such as this prefix, and the search bar will display all RFQs whose solicitation starts with that prefix.
8. Note that by default the main search bar is searching across multiple columns, but if you want to search within a specific column, simply open the search columns, click on Remove all to deselect all. And then select the desired columns to search in, in this case, we can select Solicitation Number as the only column we want to search in.
9. We can also use the Filters to more precisely narrow down our search.
10. To do the same through filters, open the Filters menu, click Add Filter, choose Solicitation, then select the Starts With condition.
11. Enter the prefix, for example:
12. Click Apply, and the system will show all RFQs whose solicitation numbers begin with that prefix.
13. Next, let’s filter RFQs using the NSN prefix — this is especially useful when you want to limit results to specific Federal Supply Classes (FSCs).
14. Open the Filters panel, click Add Filter, and select the NSN column.
15. Choose Starts With as the condition, then enter the NSN prefix you want to focus on.
16. (which corresponds to Small Arms Weapons)
17. Now click Apply, and you’ll see only RFQs with NSNs beginning with 1005.
18. Now let’s look at how to exclude RFQs that belong to a certain NSN range.
19. This is helpful if there’s a category or FSC you don’t want to work with.
20. Open the Filters menu again, click Add Filter, and select the NSN column.
21. This time choose NOT Starts With as the condition.
22. Let’s enter the prefix 1005 again — but now we’re excluding those items.
23. Click Apply, and the system will show you all RFQs except those with NSNs beginning with 1005.
24. This is a quick way to clean your list and remove categories you don’t want to work on.
25. As with all filters in Loocey, you can save your search so you don’t need to recreate it next time.
26. Click Save As, give the view a name like:
27. Prefix-Based RFQ Search
28. This will save our search filters and create a new tab at the top. The saved searches, also called Saved Views are a great way to save your filters so when you come back tomorrow or in the future, all of your saved views will be easily accessible with all of your filters already saved.
