Overview

In this video, we'll learn how to see new RFQs in the list and mark them as when necessary to be able to exclude them from the list when desired. Viewed

This is particularly useful for filtering out already viewed items and not spending time on RFQs that you’ve already viewed.

Mark As Viewed feature allows you to mark solicitations as viewed and be able to filter/exclude the viewed records, so you don’t spend time on RFQs you’ve already viewed.

Step by step

The walkthrough covered in the video, written out so you can follow along inside Loocey.

  1. How to Mark your RFQs as read in Loocey
  2. This is particularly useful for filtering out already viewed items and not spending time on RFQs that you’ve already viewed.
  3. To start, go to the RFQs list.
  4. You’ll notice that we now have blue or orange dots to the left of the solicitation id. This indicates that the items is new and has not been viewed yet.
  5. Notice when the indication is orange, it indicates that someone else in your team has marked the RFQ as viewed for the entire organization. This is useful when multiple people are searching for RFQs and this way, you can choose to exclude records that were already viewed by someone else in the team.
  6. To mark an item as Viewed, simply select one more items and click on Mark As Viewed
  7. You will see a popup asking to confirm.
  8. Notice, there is also a checkbox to mark it as viewed for the entire organization
  9. Let’s click on Save and leave the checkbox for the organization unchecked.
  10. We should see the blue indicators disappear for the items we marked as viewed.
  11. This now means that we’ve viewed these records. However, the system does not exclude viewed records from the list by default.
  12. To exclude these viewed records that we marked as viewed from the list, open the Filter dialog, go to Other Options and select Exclude Viewed Records.
  13. Note, if we also want to exclude the organization or company viewed records, you can also check Exclude Company Viewed Records checkbox.
  14. This will also exclude the records that someone else in your team marked as viewed for the organization. These are the orange indicator items.
  15. Hit apply when done.
  16. The system will now filter and show you only new records that have not been marked as viewed.
  17. Now, let’s try to also exclude organization viewed records. These are the records with orange dots next to them. Open the filter dialog again, go to Other options and also select the checkbox to exclude Company or Organization viewed records.
  18. Hit apply, and system will now also remove the records with orange dot or records that have already been marked as viewed by someone else in the organization.
  19. To save the selection changes, either save the changes on existing view or do a save as and name it “Exclude Viewed”
  20. Notice because we now have exclude viewed checkbox checked, if we mark some other items as viewed, they will instantly disappear form the list.
