Step by step

The walkthrough covered in the video, written out so you can follow along inside Loocey.

1. Related Data Filters let you search RFQs by data that lives in related tables, part numbers, award history, approved source details, and more. Open the Filters dialog on the DLA RFQs board and switch to the Related Data Filters tab to get started.
2. Use case 1: search by part numbers. Part numbers live in the DLA Approved Parts table (open any NSN dialog to see them). Click Add Filter, select the DLA Approved Parts relationship, choose the Part Number column with the In condition, paste your list of part numbers, and hit Apply.
3. The system returns every open RFQ where at least one approved part matches your list, confirm by opening the NSN dialogs. Save the view (Save, Save As New) as My Parts so you can update the part list any time.
4. Use case 2: search by prior awards. To find open RFQs for NSNs that a specific cage code has won before, add a related data filter on DLA Award History, select the Cage column, set Equals, and enter the cage code, yours or a competitor’s.
5. Hit Apply. Every open RFQ where that cage code appears in the NSN’s award history is listed, verify by opening an NSN’s History tab. Save the view as My Awards and swap the cage code (or use the In condition with a list) whenever you need.
6. Use case 3: find local manufacturers with open RFQs. Zip codes live in the DLA Approved Sources table. Add a related data filter on the DLA Approved Sources relationship, select the Zip column, choose Starts With, and enter the leading digits, for example 33 for the Miami area.
7. Hit Apply. You get every open RFQ that has at least one approved source in that zip area, click a cage code inside the NSN dialog to confirm the company’s address. This is a reverse search: instead of finding manufacturers and waiting, you start from open RFQs and connect with the local manufacturers behind them.
8. Use case 4: related data filters also work on the Bidding Board. Filter your board on Supplier Quotes and Part Number to instantly find which copied RFQ contains a given part number.
9. Save each search as its own view. The filters stay tabbed at the top, and you can combine related data filters with regular column filters for even more precise searches.
