In this video, we’ll learn how to use the new Packaging tool in Loocey.
Automatically breaks down complicated packaging requirements into a table, with definitions next to each packaging code, then you can generate a PDF and save.
Step by step
The walkthrough covered in the video, written out so you can follow along inside Loocey.
- Go to DLA RFQs and scroll to the right. Select an RFQ, ideally one with military packaging, packaging code MIL-STD-2073-1E.
- Click the three dots and select Packaging Info.
- This brings up the packaging details pop-up, scroll down to check all the details.
- The packaging info tool parses out the packaging instructions and adds a description for each code.
- Click Generate PDF to create a PDF version of the instructions, then save the PDF for your records.
- Note that the PDF also shows the solicitation number, NSN, and quantity at the top, making it easy to identify the contract while you’re packing.
- The packaging tool is also accessible from the Bidding Board: select a solicitation there and you’ll find the same Packaging Info option in the three-dots menu.
